Jeffrey Dunn and Terry Parrish opened Carolina Fire Protection, Inc. in August of 2002 with only a few employees. By 2007, in five short years, the company had grown to 30 employees and the construction of our current 16,700 square foot facility which houses our offices, warehouse and shop located off of I-95 in Dunn. In 2014, the company grew even more and added onto the warehouse area, creating additional storage/warehouse space and poised for even more growth.
Today, the company has 40 employees and is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Celebrating over 18 years in business, Carolina Fire Protection Inc. has successfully installed notable projects including: Mt. Olive Pickle, Caterpillar, Revlon, Coty, Harbor Freight Tools, Hampton Inn, Food Lion Distribution Center, Planet Fitness just to name a few.
Our Founders
Jeffrey Dunn and Terry Parrish opened their own company, Carolina Fire Protection, Inc. in August of 2002 after spending many years in the industry acquiring extensive experience, knowledge, and expertise. Carolina Fire Protection, Inc. provides a valuable service offering life safety needs through fire protection to Industries, Hotels, Commercial businesses as well as residential homeowners. Jeffrey and Terry’s involvement in fire protection extends nationally in numerous associations. Jeffrey is former Chairman of the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. Jeffrey was also Past President of AFSA/Carolinas Chapter, a member of the Board of Directors for AFSA, and a Board Member for the State Board of Examiners for Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. Terry, now retired, is NICET certified, a NFPA member, and an AFSA member. He holds a Fire Protection Contractors License for the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Carolina Fire Protection, Inc. is a member of the American Fire Sprinkler Association, the American Subcontractors Association of the Carolinas, the Capital Associated Industries, the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce, the National Fire Protection Association, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and the National Federation of Independent Business.
In 2007, Carolina Fire Protection, Inc. was recognized with the Beautification Award from the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce. And in 2016, was recognized as a Quality Contractor from American Fire Sprinkler Association and most recently in August of 2017, we were recognized by the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce as the Business of the Week.
Community service is a very important commitment for Jeffrey and feels giving back to the community is not only important, but part of the responsibilities as a business owner. Jeffrey is a former member of the Board of Directors for Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce, Past Chairman/Board of Deacons for Beulah Baptist Church, Past President of Midway High School Athletic Booster Club, Local Advisory Board Member of Select Bank & Trust in Dunn, and Past Chairman of Major Donor Committee for North Carolina Ducks Unlimited.
